Hey guys...

I think I've completely given up on xanga at this point. I'm going to try to keep up updates on Myspace. I keep forgetting to update, check, etc. Sorry... still keep me informed on what's going on in your lives... I'm deeply interested in what's going on with you all. Shoot me an email anytime. If you need someone to tell a good joke to, or a shoulder to cry on, or someone to talk to, or anything, don't hesitate to talk to me! Alright?

Thanks all,
Lots of Love,
Sheri

Alright. So, enough complaining about the food...

I went home this last weekend. I'm sorry that I really didn't publicize that. It was just that it was my Dad's birthday and I promised to hang out with him all weekend. So, I didn't want to disappoint him. And I really didn't want to leave my house. I didn't want to move. You don't know how much you really are attached to home until you leave. I promise, I'll catch up with you guys over thanksgiving break, k?

And I'm going back to SR in 11 days, for John's and my anniversary. We're still together and, believe it or not, incredibly happy. I think it'll work. 4 years of this. Piece of cake. lol. No, it's hard not seeing him everyday, but we call each other a heck of a lot, so it's okay. He said he's planned the whole weekend for us, so I don't think I'll have much time for anything else. Ah, to be wisked away...

And I went dancing last night. Pretty freakin' awesome! It was some good quality dancing. Cleansing of the soul... mmmm... lol. And tonight there's supposedly free good food at 7:15 and then an ICE CREAM CAKE!!!! I know, I'm gaining the freshman 15, but, come on, it's ICE CREAM CAKE, PEOPLE!

I totally get the extreme workout everyday, though. Walking to the Business building and back is a mile walk, and that's uphill, pretty much both ways because of all of the hills. lol. I really like it though. It's pretty awesome being here. I mean, it's not like I'm in love with it, but it's pretty awesome...

Anyhow, I love you all and I hope that you're enjoying your college/senior year experiences. You guys rock!

- PLAYING THIS WEEKEND IN SLO!!!!
Alright!!!
So I promised that I'd keep this up. Sigh. It's kind of hard to do.
You know? I had ice cream today that was 49% of my daily recommended intake of Saturated Fat?!? Not like I really cared, I ate it anyway, but just a testament to how bad campus food really is. Yuck... but it was damn good. lol

And meal plans just suck. There are only two places to use them on campus. One's a sandwich shop, the other is a cafeteria-like thing. And they use cash equivalency here. So, like, when I buy a taco salad (4.99 or something) and a soda (.80) and it totals to around 5.70, I have to spend the remaining money, or I lose it. I have, like, up to 8.95 for dinner and a few dollars less for lunch and dinner. It fosters eating lots, and eating lots and lots of crap. I wish that they actually sold something good for you here. I mean, there's the campus market, but you can't use your meal plan there.

lol... some girl made me stand on a scale the other day, to check and see if it worked. 136.2... that's like, 3 pounds heavier than when I came here. That's an increase of 1 pound per week, almost. Grrrr... lol

So, enough of my raving about that... I also bought a dress online. Ebay. Now that was an adventure. I'm getting it in the mail by the end of this week, probably. It's strapless, black, and prob. ends just at the knee, if not just a little tiny bit shorter. It's awesome. I might just show it off one of these days... lol

But anyway, how is all your guys' campus food? Good? Bad? Meh?
And the people still in high school, how's the food there?
And if any of you are in touch with Benenson, will you tell him that I miss him and I'm working on getting him an email or something.... thanks

love you all!

So. I figured I hadn't written here in a very, very long time. I thought another entry was long past due. So, here it goes.

I did make it to Cal Poly. I'm here in my dorm room, right now, sitting at my desk typing on my laptop (which I've fondly named Susie). The sky is a wonderful bright blue and I've gotten about 9 hours of sleep. It's the perfect lazy weekend at Cal Poly.

If you don't know, Cal Poly is home to two very diverse groups. There are the engineers, that have over 25 hours of schooling per week, and there are the business majors, who have about two classes a day and absolutely no class on Friday. Fun, eh? So, of course, today is Saturday, but I've had two nights out already. It's not like I'm a partier--far from it, but Cal Poly life is awesome.

Right now I'm going out to breakfast. So... ttyl? I'll try and keep you posted on here, if you guys could tell me what you're up to!

Oh, and happy birthday JEFF!!!

Thank you all for your concern. The JC is a good school, but you're right, Cal Poly is awesome too and I am excited about it.

The only reason why I was going to the JC is because we simply don't have the money for Cal Poly. Trust me, without going into details, we would not be able to pay for more than a year. I didn't apply for scholarships, remember?

Anyway. The only option seemed to be the JC. But, lady luck shines on me. A financial counselor at Cal Poly reviewed my family's case, and NOW I CAN GO! With the aid that they're giving me, I'll still have to work for scholarships, but I can make it. So, it seems like I'm on the track to Cal Poly.

Sorry for not giving you guys all the info. I'm in TN and my family's at home. We've been arguing over the phone about this for the past 4 days. We finally found out yesterday that Cal Poly was within reach again. It's okay. I'm going to Cal Poly!

I would not give up on my dream that easily. Seriously. The financial problem was the only thing that was holding me back. It was frustrating and annoying. I hope I portray myself as someone with a little more drive than that. So many people seem to think that I'd just give up... man...

But I know I'm not like that. I'm going to Cal Poly. It'll all be okay. Thank you for worrying about me. I'm okay now, though. I'm just not made out of money . I'm not poor either. But I am fortunate that I've got such great friends to push me to keep me going.

I love you all.
